Our Commitment To You

We firmly believe that the only customer worth having is a happy one. We want you to be happy with our service, and the furniture we supply, on the day you order it, the day it is delivered, and every day after. The sale, effectively, is never complete.

This is the underlying principle by which we operate, and our hard working and dedicated team genuinely want to achieve the highest standards.

If we do not, please tell us - we strive to improve and welcome positive, and negative feedback in order to achieve this.

Our Furniture

Our buyers are very experienced, and extremely well respected in the industry, and they strive to select and offer products which are well designed, well made, stylish, and competitively priced. Our furniture is almost entirely sourced from European manufacturers, and the oak used is predominantly European (Quercus Robur) and American White (Quercus Alba) oak.

We avoid any furniture product which is sourced from the far east, unless we know it to be made to Western European standards, using European or American grown oak. Where we do source furniture from the far east, this will be stated in the product description.

Some of our furniture is 100% solid oak and some is made from a combination of solids and veneers. Where it is both sensible and advantageous to do so, specific components may be made from an alternative timber. For example a beech extension runner is more stable, and therefore better as a runner than an oak one. Steam bent windsor chairs are better made from ash than oak. Wherever possible, construction specification will be stated in the product description, or on the range information found under the main category headings. If you require clarification of any product specification, please email Nick Smith (MD and buyer) at enquiries@oakinteriors.co.uk.

Guarantees

We guarantee our wood products against manufacturing defects for a period of 5 years from delivery, and upholstered elements for 2 years. This is not a warranty scheme where we offload the risk to an insurance company, but a genuine guarantee based on our confidence in the products we sell. Please note that movement (dimensional instability) in solid timber is not considered a manufacturing fault but is a feature of the raw material. Small shakes, cracks, splits, opening of joints, expansion and contraction of timber by up to 3% of its dimension is quite normal, and indeed should be expected in the average centrally heated environment. Our furniture is designed for use in centrally heated environments with stable humidity levels - placing it anywhere else will invalidate your guarantees and very likely cause damage to your furniture.

We also back up these guarantees with our own, unique, thirty day unconditional money back guarantee on all standard products in standard finishes. If, within thirty days of delivery, you decide the product is not for you, return it in showroom condition and receive a full refund. Please note this guarantee does not apply to bespoke, made to measure, or non standard specification products. If you require us to collect the goods from you we will make a £25 collection charge where the original delivery was free. Where we charged for delivery, we will charge for collection at the same rate.

Accuracy of information on this site

Of course, we strive to give accurate information wherever possible, but inevitably we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy, 100% of the time, as we are often reliant on others to provide such information. Where we spot errors, ommisions, or innacuracies, we will correct them at the earliest opportunity, and we welcome feedback from customers in this area.
