Solid oak stool / occasional table made from one piece of solid oak, and finished in a citrus oil.

Please note dimensions will vary slightly on this product because of variation in available logs, and because the timber will gradually shrink across the width as it dries, and this process will take several years.

Because it is difficult to season such chunky cuts of timber evenly, it splits naturally, and to make a feature of this, the edges are smoothed, and more splits are cut onto the timber to regularise their distribution. Some movement should therefore be expected as the splits expand and contract. Naturally, every item is unique and we are unable to predict or specify the number, size, distribution, or depth of the splits!
